We started Fortis Pet because we couldn't find a dog food we actually trusted.

For years, we watched dogs struggle with deeply sensitive stomachs, low energy, and dull coats, despite their owners buying what they thought were premium brands.

So we started reading the back of the packets. And once you see what goes into most standard dog food and how it is made, you cannot unsee it. Extreme temperatures, cheap fillers, ingredients you have never heard of. The good stuff gets destroyed before it even reaches the bowl.

That was the start of a long journey. We spent years researching how dogs actually digest food, what nutrients survive processing, and why so many dogs struggle with commercial extruded diets. We spoke to nutritionists, studied formulations, and tested everything we could find on the market.

We wanted something completely different. Food that is gently pressed, not blasted with heat. Real ingredients like sweet potato, chicory root, turmeric, and seaweed. Proper single-source proteins with joint care built right in. Grain-free, hypoallergenic, and genuinely complete.

Every Fortis recipe is cold-pressed in Yorkshire. That low-temperature process is the whole point. It keeps the natural enzymes, vitamins, and amino acids intact instead of cooking them away.
