How Much Should I Feed My Dog? A Complete Guide

Feeding guidelines based on your dog's weight, age, and activity level.

Every dog is different, but here are some guidelines to help you find the right amount for your four-legged friend.

Adult Dogs (Maintenance)

  • 1-4 kg: 50-70g per day
  • 5-10 kg: 100-150g per day
  • 11-20 kg: 150-220g per day
  • 21-30 kg: 220-300g per day
  • 31-40 kg: 300-380g per day

Puppies Need More

Growing puppies need roughly 50% more food than adult dogs of the same weight. Split their daily amount into 3-4 meals until they're about 6 months old, then transition to twice daily.

Remember: these are guidelines. Adjust based on your dog's body condition – you should be able to feel their ribs but not see them prominently.
